In the event of an Agreement In Principle (AIP) being granted the offer is usually valid for 6 months.
The AIP is always based on the applicant(s) financial situation. The property will still need to be valued and all legal checks carried out to ensure the bank will lend.
It is always advisable to secure an AIP in advance of property viewings so potential buyers are aware of what they can borrow, the monthly payments and terms of the mortgage offer.
